On December 6, 2023, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and the International Day of Human Rights, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a festive musical conference “Permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan: the basis of economic and political development”. The forum was dedicated to the results of the competition “Creative Labor and Human Rights”, announced by the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan jointly with the journal “Democracy and Law” of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan and the international competition of scientific works “Potential of transport and transit corridors in the strategy for the revival of the Great Silk Road”, announced by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The conference was attended by faculty and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, staff of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Plenipotentiary Representative for Human Rights of Turkmenistan, representatives of public organizations of the country, media, and winners of the competition “Creative Labor and Human Rights” and the international competition of scientific works “Potential of transport and transit corridors in the strategy for the revival of the Great Silk Road”.
During the festive event, the results of the competitions were announced. As it is known, at the beginning of 2023, the magazine announce at its website the “Creative Labor and Human Rights” competition w. The competition received a number of articles from specialists of the educational and scientific institutions, and the law enforcement agencies of the country. The best of the articles were published in the journal “Democracy and Law”. Of a list of articles submitted to the competition, the jury selected the best ones from theoretical and practical points of view.
In accordance with the results summed up by the jury members, the following articles were declared the winners of the competition and awarded prizes:
1st place – article “International and national legal norms for environmental protection” by Feride Myradova, Specialist, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan;
2nd place – article “Features of the use of digital technologies in criminal proceedings” by Nurmuhammed Gurbanov, Senior Lecturer, Institute of National Security of Turkmenistan;
2nd place – article “Protection of the Caspian Sea ecosystem is an important task” by Gulzar Ashyrova, Researcher, Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan;
3rd place – article “Role of legal awareness and legal culture in the education of youth” by Rahat Toryaev, Senior Legal Adviser, Legal Division of the Department of Law and International Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan;
3rd place – article “National and international principles of ensuring human rights” by Shasenem Gylychberdiyeva, postgraduate, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The winners were awarded certificates of honor and valuable gifts from the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan and the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan.
