The international scientific and practical conference "Prospects for the Implementation of Digital Innovative Technologies in Science and Education" concluded at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. The event, held in a hybrid format, brought together experts from Turkmenistan, Germany, Malaysia, China, Japan, Iran, Belarus, the UAE, and other countries.
The conference featured presentations on global practices in the application of artificial intelligence, the impact of digital solutions on education and industry, and cybersecurity challenges. Practical examples of implementing digital systems and data protection mechanisms were of particular interest.
One of the keynote addresses was a statement by a representative of the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan. He described the joint project with UNDP, completed in May 2025, to launch the Interdepartmental Electronic Data Exchange System. The system already ensures the prompt and secure exchange of information between government agencies, increases process transparency, and creates the foundation for expanding electronic government services for the public and businesses. The agency's representative emphasized that cooperation with the UN Development Programme has enabled the creation of a modern digital infrastructure, the development of an innovative ecosystem, and the support of technological entrepreneurship. Particular attention is paid to enhancing the skills of civil servants through international training and partnerships with leading centers, including the E-governance Academy (Estonia) and Innopolis University (Russia).
Following the conference, participants noted the importance of continuing international projects and sharing experiences to further strengthen Turkmenistan's digital infrastructure and improve the quality of public services.
