TÜRKMENISTANYŇ DÖWLET, HUKUK WE DEMOKRATIÝA INSTITUTY
From May 7 to June 6, 2024, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, together with the United Nations Population Fund and the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, held a series of round tables at the Human Rights Resource Centers operating in the city of Ashgabat and in the velayats on the implementation of the National Action Plan on Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, hakimlik of the regions and the city of Ashgabat , Institute of State, Law and Democracy, Ministry of Education, Healthcare and Medical Industry, Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Ministry of Internal Affairs and velayat departments of these ministries, law enforcement agencies and Representatives of the bar associations, as well as the Women's Union, Trade Unions and regional associations, the National Red Crescent Society and the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly.
During the meetings preparation of a draft periodic National Report to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, as well as the international obligations of Turkmenistan in the field of gender equality were discussed.
