FOCUS ON WOMEN'S HEALTH AND STATUS

On August 26, 2022, an event dedicated to the presentation of the results of the National Sample Survey “Health and Status of Women in the Family in Turkmenistan” was held in the conference hall of the Yyldyz Hotel. The event was attended by representatives of international organizations, the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, ministries and departments, as well as public organizations and representatives of scientific institutions.

This survey was conducted as part of the National Action Plan for Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025. The survey “Health and status of women in the family in Turkmenistan” has become an important event in the implementation of state policy in the field of promoting gender equality, protecting the rights and freedoms of women, improving the legal framework, protecting women's health and providing a wide range of social services.

The results of the National Sample Survey will be used in monitoring the implementation of SDG 5 and ensuring the international obligations of Turkmenistan in the field of human rights, the implementation of the goals and objectives of the National Action Plan for Gender Equality as the main state strategy for promoting gender equality issues.
