On August 6, 2021, at the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, a consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast. Along with this high-level meeting, the first forum of the Women’s Dialogue of the States of Central Asia, the Economic Forum of the Central Asian states, International Exhibition of the Products of Central Asian countries, International Festival of the National Cuisines of the region’s countries, as well as the cultural and artistic concert were held.
The agenda of the third consultative meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan - included a wide range of issues related to strengthening interstate cooperation, as well as important regional and international issues.
Upon the outcomes of the meeting, the Joint Statement of the Heads of States of Central Asia was adopted.
