During December of this year, young ambassadors of the SDGs of Turkmenistan held online and mobile focus groups with children and families from all regions of the country to contribute to the assessment of the National action plan for the realization of children's rights in Turkmenistan for 2018-2022. Before the sessions, the young ambassadors of the SDG took part in a training on conducting discussions focus group with parents and children in order to evaluate national programs and support the UNICEF international consultant. Involving youth in the review of the promotion of child rights in the country is a good practice at the regional and global levels, and this is the first time Turkmenistan has adopted such an approach.

On December 21, 2021, UNICEF in Turkmenistan and the Institute of state, law and democracy of Turkmenistan held a ceremony of presenting certificates to young ambassadors SDGs.
— It is pleasant to note that the youth of Turkmenistan took an active part in this process, - noted the head of the UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan, Mr. Mohammad Fayazi. The event was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan and the Union of women of Turkmenistan.
