TÜRKMENISTANYŇ DÖWLET, HUKUK WE DEMOKRATIÝA INSTITUTY
On May 17, 2022, on the eve of one of the most significant dates in the modern history of the country, a scientific and practical conference “30 years of the Constitution of Turkmenistan: a new historical era and modern experience in legislative activity” was held in the capital’s Center for Public Organizations.
Members of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Genesh of Turkmenistan and deputies of the Mejlis of the Milli Genesh, scientists and political scientists, teachers of higher educational institutions of the capital, representatives of public associations, creative intelligentsia, the media, honorary elders, and youth were invited to participate in the solemn meeting.
During the plenary session of the conference, speeches were delivered on the topics of the Constitution, the State Flag of Turkmenistan, which are our national pride, symbols of gaining true statehood, the values that the people of Turkmenistan treat as shrines that increase the feeling of patriotism, the desire for creativity, labor enthusiasm.
Speakers also noted the importance of the recently adopted Program “Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052”. In this regard, the participants of the forum emphasized that the Constitution of our Motherland including the best examples of international law, theoretical and practical achievements, both in domestic and foreign statehood building, has to be a model, the basis for ongoing social and democratic reforms.
The speakers unanimously emphasized that, based on the richest historical experience and national traditions, our country, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, is successfully implementing a policy aimed at strengthening sovereignty, stable socio-economic development, improving the well-being of the people, increasing constructive international relations.
In the speeches, special attention was attached to the issues of improving the country's legal framework in terms of further development of the concept of a democratic, legal, secular state.
In the second half of the day, the forum continued its work as sectional sessions, whereat issues of practical implementation of socio-economic reforms under the leadership of the head of the state were revised.
At the end of the forum, the participants of the scientific and practical conference expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the constant concern for improving the social and living standards of the people, bringing the country to new levels of development, assuring that they would continue to work hard to contribute to the implementation of the tasks and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
