On October 5, 2021, the director of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, via video link, participated in the international conference "Uzbekistan: Rapid Reforms of Five Years" and spoke on the topic "Communities and peculiarities in the development of the national legal system of Central Asian countries."
In his speech, using the example of civil legislation, he analyzed the development of the legal systems of the countries of Central Asia. It is stated that the regulation of market economy relations, including international cooperation, originates from the times of the Great Silk Road. Tested over periods of history, trade rules and traditions are at the core of modern contractual relationships. The stable international trade customs and traditions created along the Great Silk Road serve as the basis for modern trade norms.
Analysis of the development of legislation in Central Asia, identifying the commonality and features of the legislation of each country, is aimed at harmonizing legal systems for the development of international cooperation.
