TÜRKMENISTANYŇ DÖWLET, HUKUK WE DEMOKRATIÝA INSTITUTY
On October 11-13, 2022, as part of the annual work plan for 2022, a series of consultations were held between the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan on the development of the National Action Plan (NAP) on Child Rights for 2023-2028. Members of the Working Group of the Inter-Ministerial Commission on Ensuring Turkmenistan’s Compliance with International Obligations in the Field of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law have participated in the consultations.
The new Plan is being prepared on the basis of the national priorities set in the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028, and on the key recommendations and best practices drawn from the evaluation of the previous National Action Plan on Child Rights in Turkmenistan for 2018-2022.
