TÜRKMENISTANYŇ DÖWLET, HUKUK WE DEMOKRATIÝA INSTITUTY
On February 18, 2024, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the International conference “The concept of the world of Magtymguly Fragi and diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan”.
The forum on the occasion of the Day of Diplomatic Staff of Turkmenistan was attended by some Deputy-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited to our country, representatives of the national diplomatic service, public organisations, media, the faculty and teachers and students of higher educational institutions.
Those gathered with great attention listened to the message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Diplomatic Staff on the occasion of their professional holiday. The message of the head of the state read the foreign policy and diplomacy of Turkmenistan play an important role on the international arena, make a positive impact on development of the modern agenda, and enjoy authority and recognition of our partners. It is evidenced by unanimous support of 25 resolutions of the UN General Assembly that were initiated by our country. In his message, the President of the country expressed confidence that in development and strengthening of diplomatic service of Turkmenistan, opening of its potential, expansion of geography and areas of activity, undoubtedly, there are big merits of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During their speeches, participants of the conference underlined that under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov our country steadily purses its constructive foreign policy aimed at promotion of multivector international cooperation, consolidation of efforts of the world community in achievement of the SDGs at the regional and global levels. This far-sighted strategy and creative initiatives put forward by the head of the state are generally welcomed and supported.
The UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, the Ambassadors of Germany, Iran, Italy, and Turkey to Turkmenistan made their speeches at the conference.
At the end of the conference, the participants adopted an Address of gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed sincere gratitude for the consideration of the issues of improving the country’s diplomatic service on a constant basis, and assured that they will continue to make every effort to successfully address the important tasks assigned to them.
On the occasion of the significant holiday of the national calendar under solemn conditions, mentor diplomats were awarded the distinction “Skilled Diplomat of Turkmenistan” (Türkmenistanyň ussat diplomaty), and corresponding certificates for their personal contribution to realisation of peaceful constructive foreign policy of Turkmenistan, strengthening of relations with foreign states in various areas, expansion of effective dialogue with authoritative international organisations and for other merits before our Fatherland. By tradition on occasion of the professional holiday, young specialists of the diplomatic service and graduate students of the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan were awarded the corresponding certificates of honor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their active participation in the implementation of the foreign policy strategy of the state.
