A MEETING WAS HELD WITH THE REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE OFFICE OF THE UN HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS FOR CENTRAL ASIA

On March 3, 2026, a meeting was held at the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan with the head of the Regional Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for Central Asia, Matilda Bogner.

During the meeting, issues of developing cooperation with the Regional Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for Central Asia, as well as the implementation of international human rights conventions ratified by Turkmenistan, the final recommendations of the UN human rights treaty bodies were discussed.

During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on planned activities to be carried out jointly with the Interdepartmental Commission for Ensuring the Fulfilment of Turkmenistan's International Obligations in the Field of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
