WORKSHOP ON GENDER EQUALITY

On May 29-30, 2023, in the framework of the project between the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) “Assistance in the Implementation of the National Action Plan of Turkmenistan in the area of human rights for 2021-2025” and within cooperation with the Foundation The United Nations Population Organization (UNFPA), a workshop was held on Development of Special Courses for Civil Servant on Gender-Responsive Governance

The workshop was attended by representatives of the ministries of Adalat, Internal Affairs, Education, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Supreme Court, the Office of the Ombudsman, the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, the National Institute of Education, the Bar Association and a number of higher educational institutions of the country, and was facilitated by Biljana Maletin, UNDP international expert.

The event is aimed to assist in the development of educational courses on human rights for civil servants. The development and integration of educational courses and educational materials on human rights is provided for by the National Action Plan for Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025 and the National Action Plan for Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025.
