International Year of Peace and Trust – Development of Democracy

In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, guided by the responsible tasks set by the Esteemed President, on 19 November of this year, a scientific-practical conference titled “The International Year of Peace and Trust – A Triumph of Prosperity, Progress and Democracy” was held at the Adalat Palace of Turkmenistan. The event was jointly organized by the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The conference was attended by judges and employees of the country’s judicial bodies, deputies of the Mejlis, researchers from the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, faculty members and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of international organizations operating in our country.

During the conference, reports were presented on the gratifying foreign-policy achievements of Turkmenistan over the 30-year history of its permanent neutrality, on our country’s friendly cooperation with nations of the world and authoritative international organizations based on the philosophy of our Hero Arkadag – “Dialogue is the Guarantee of Peace”, and on the national legislative system, which is continuously improved in accordance with universally recognized norms of international law.

The development of the national legal system and its fundamental principles vividly reflect universal human values of the modern world and the principles of mutually beneficial cooperation. As an independent and permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan occupies a worthy place in the system of international relations, actively participates in joint discussions of both regional and global issues, and contributes to multilateral efforts to find agreed solutions.

We sincerely congratulate our Esteemed President and our courageous people on the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of our country and on International Day of Neutrality, which will be widely celebrated with grand festivities!
