TÜRKMENISTANYŇ DÖWLET, HUKUK WE DEMOKRATIÝA INSTITUTY
On July 9 of this year, was held a scientific and practical conference "The Importance of International Experience in Improving the Judicial Legislation of Turkmenistan". The conference was organized by the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan. The conference was attended by representatives of structural divisions of international organizations in our country, deputies, judges, employees of judicial bodies, researchers, as well as teachers and students of higher educational institutions.
As noted by those speaking at the conference, the wise policy held by the esteemed President in the field of improving national legislation and the judicial system is aimed at ensuring a high level of protection of the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of citizens, society and the state. The country is taking systemic measures to further strengthen the rule of law. The speakers emphasized that the humanitarian state policy aimed at protecting the legitimate interests of citizens and strengthening legal guarantees is an important area of sustainable socio-economic development of the country, strengthening the legal foundations of the state and further democratization of Turkmen society. At the same time, it was noted that at present, special attention is paid to the work carried out jointly with specialized UN agencies and other international organizations, as well as to the study of international experience.
The speakers noted the importance of the new version of the Law of Turkmenistan "On the Judicial System" adopted on April 12, 2025, to further improve the quality of legal proceedings, taking into account the generally recognized norms of international law and best world practice.
The legal culture of citizens of Turkmenistan, their trust in the Basic Law, the legislative system and the head of state ensure the unity, cohesion, consistency and high morale of the people.
