A MEETING WITH UNFPA DELEGATION WAS HELD

On December 14, 2023, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with Ms. Leyla Sharafi, Senior Gender Advisor at UNFPA Headquarters.

The meeting exchanged of views on the implementation of activities and tasks provided for in the plan between the Institute and UNFPA “Promoting the strengthening of systems and mechanisms for promoting gender equality” for 2023 took place.

During 2023, in cooperation with UNFPA, a number of events and trainings on gender equality issues were held, an analysis of relevant regulations was carried out and a dialogue on improving national legislation was held.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue and expand cooperation in the future.
